A student is suing a middle school in North Carolina after the vice principal, revealed the kid’s, ahem, “secret identity.”
The seventh-grader at the Eddie White Academy says he was humiliated when he was strip-searched on suspicion of carrying drugs and fellow students saw his Superman underwear.

In other classroom craziness, an elementary school in Canfield, Ohio, went into lockdown after a mom showed up in a Mickey Mouse costume to surprise her kid on Valentine’s Day.
The mom had followed the rules and signed in to gain entry. But when she went into a restroom and emerged in costume, staffers thought she was nuts and called cops.

A guy who bought a broken safe on eBay for $122.93 got quite a return on his investment when he cracked it open and found $26,000.
The seller, who didn’t have the number-wheel combination, apparently thought there nothing inside.
“I feel like the stupidest idiot in the world,” the seller reportedly said.

If there’s anyone who should just say no to drugs, it would be a police chief.
But in Athens, Ohio, the local top cop wound up on his own police blotter after sheriff’s deputies conducted a buy-and-bust drug sting at his home, a TV station reported.
Now Kelsey Lanning is in the county jail, which has to be pretty awkward for his underling officers.

Officer James Peters of Scottsdale, Ariz., has been involved in seven separate shootings — six of them fatal — since 2002.
That list includes an incident this week when he shot to death an allegedly armed man holding a baby.
The most recent killing is under probe, but all the others have been deemed justified. In one, he was given a local medal of valor.
