More like “American Spirit” airlines.

A Florida woman was yanked off a flight last week after lighting up a cigarette in the crowded cabin, because she supposedly had a “long day.” A video of her inflight smoke break currently has almost 50,000 views on TikTok.

“This is what happens when you fly Spirit,” read the caption to the incriminating clip, which was shot by Beatrix Trifonova on a Spirit Airlines flight that had arrived at Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from Detroit, Michigan, the Miami Herald reported. The aircraft had reportedly just landed and was taxiing on the runway when the unruly passenger decided to spark her cancer stick.

Indeed, the footage shows the blond woman pulling down her mask and casually puffing away at a cigarette in the middle of the packed plane a la Ben Kingsley’s character in “Sexy Beast.”

At that point, an appalled passenger can be heard saying, “Excuse me? Can you not smoke cigarettes right now?”

After receiving no response, she asks again, “Er, excuse me? Are you f – – king kidding me right now?”

The nicotine addict nonchalantly replies, “It’s been a long day.”

Another passenger named Alexa Majdalawi, who suffers from asthma, told Fox News after the fact that the miscreant was smoking the cigarette in her face and even “turning around to blow it.”

“Is this real life,” added Majdawali of the tobacco-head’s actions, which violated a nationwide smoking ban that went into effect in 1990. She eventually reported the incident to flight attendants after her initial attempts to dissuade the smoker failed.

“Flight attendants noticed the odor, and the other guests were quick to point out who was responsible and hand over what remained of the extinguished cigarette,” a Spirit Airlines spokesperson told the Miami Herald. “Our crew summoned law enforcement officers to have them waiting at the gate to remove the passenger.”

A follow-up clip, entitled “This is what happens when you smoke on a plane!,” shows policemen waking up the sleeping woman and ordering her off the aircraft.

“Ma’am, come on. Let’s go, do you have a bag with you?” asks an officer while searching for her luggage.

The caption explains that the bozo “denied smoking in front of the flight attendants and they found the cigarette in her empty cup,” adding that another passenger claimed the smoker had a “double cranberry vodka during the flight.”

The woman was eventually escorted off the plane by Broward Sheriff’s Office Airport District deputies, who claimed that she complied and that no arrests were made, Fox News reported.

Unfortunately, disruptive passengers have become all too common during the time of corona with incidents including everything from inflight brawls to myriad mask disputes.
