The Enthusiast Network, formerly known as Source Interlink Media, is making some mid-season cuts from its roster.
Baseball America is on the block, and so is its basketball-related sister title Slam.
Investment bank Moelis & Co. is said to be handling the deal.
The Enthusiast Network survived as a magazine publisher even after its wholesale arm collapsed into bankruptcy, triggering the latest chapter in the newsstand crisis.
The baseball magazine is a small circulation title but has had a pay wall on its Web site since 1999. Meanwhile, its annual Baseball America Prospect Handbook landed on the bestseller list this spring for the first time.
