BuzzFeed is renting out about 14 percent of its New York headquarters — but the deal is not a sign expansion plans have faltered, it said.

The sublease is for 27,000 square feet and takes up the entire 11th floor of the 225 Park Ave. South facility.

The site was listed for $80 a square foot, according to the Real Deal, which broke the news.

That could mean an extra $2.1 million a year into BuzzFeed Chairman Jonah Peretti’s coffers.

The sublease with Teachers Pay Teachers is for nearly three years, sources said.

BuzzFeed is still said to be growing, although not quite as rapidly as it had originally planned, according to reports, which said it missed its growth target last year.

BuzzFeed president Greg Coleman insists the sublease was all part of the company’s grand plan.

“When we subleased our space and took it over a year ago, we totally took it to expand into for the next few years,” he said.
