A former WebMD pharmaceutical ad sales executive breached her contract and stole trade secrets by taking a similar job with Time Inc., the website claims in a lawsuit.

Heidi Anderson, who helped work up for Time a free magazine for doctors’ offices, earned over $2 million in total compensation from 2008 when she joined WebMD until she left for Time Inc. in March 2016, the suit claims.

Anderson had a 1-year non-compete, WebMD claims. The suit seeks at least $1 million of the money back.

The magazine publisher enticed Anderson to join its team after she worked on a nine-month joint project with Time’s Sports Illustrated that ended in February 2016, the suit claims.

WebMD said it tried unsuccessfully to work out a deal for Anderson to work at time — provided she didn’t handle any health-related ads — but the effort failed.

Anderson could not be reached. Time declined to comment.
