Nancy Gibbs, former top editor of Time magazine, is heading back to college as a visiting professor at Harvard.

“Am heading north to Cambridge, to teach and learn and try to understand better the forces that are reshaping media and politics right now,” she told Media Ink. “I’ve been so impressed by the work being done at the Kennedy School in this area. I can’t wait to join them.”

Gibbs will be a visiting member of the faculty at Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy.

The gig begins March 1. Gibbs will be the Edward R. Murrow Chair of Press, Politics, and Public Policy.
