ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — He’s been body-slammed by Randy “Macho Man’’ Savage more times than he can count, but it’s a sex tape that really hurt former WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan, his lawyer told The Post.

“The Terry Bollea [Hogan] that I met was a confident, outgoing person that quite frankly believed in his message, and after the video, I know that he portrays the same persona, but you can tell it’s not as strong — there’s that self-doubt,” said David Houston, Hogan’s longtime lawyer, referring to his client by his given name.

On Monday, Hogan is expected to take the stand in a St. Petersburg courtroom to tell a jury of four women and two men that the gossip site Gawker caused him “serious emotional turmoil” by exposing his clandestine love affair with his then-best friend’s wife, in a video viewed by an estimated 5 million people online.

The wrestler and reality-TV star is seeking $100 million in the invasion-of-privacy civil case.

Houston and his team will try to show that Gawker harmed Hogan’s reputation as an all-American hero by posting the video.

The grainy footage shows Hogan, now 62, giving oral sex to Heather Clem and then having intercourse with her. It was secretly filmed by Clem’s then-husband and Hogan’s pal, shock jock Bubba “The Love Sponge” Clem, in 2006.

Hogan, who was separated from his wife, Linda, at the time, insists he had no idea that he was being taped. Bubba settled a separate suit the pro wrestler filed against him for $5,000.

Gawker’s founder, Nick Denton, will testify. The suit has threatened Gawker’s future, forcing him to sell part of his company for legal fees.

“We are defending the First Amendment against Hulk Hogan’s effort to create a world where celebrities can promote themselves around any topic — in this case, sex — and then veto how the media covers their lives,” a Gawker spokesman said.
