There are no plans to back off the move to remake Maxim magazine into a luxury, upscale publication, a spokeswoman for Maxim said on Thursday.

On Sept. 2, Media Ink reported readers were less than enthused about the changes and speculated that reverting back to its beer-and-babes format could be in the offing.
