Megyn Kelly torched former “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley as an “arrogant” narcissist whose firing from CBS News was “overdue” — even as she blasted the network’s management as “amateur hour.”

“I don’t blame her one bit,” Kelly said of CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss firing Pelley. “It was the right call.”

“He is arrogant, he’s a pr–k,” Kelly said, adding that Pelley’s “narcissism and closed-mindedness on the air entitled him to a firing long, long ago.”

Kelly said she predicted in December that Weiss would eventually fire Pelley and that CBS News insiders would “eat her alive from within.”

“It came today,” Kelly said. “He’s fired before we are halfway through 2026.”

But Kelly also ripped the way CBS handled the purge, saying the network had turned an internal personnel fight into a public spectacle.

“The way this s–t is going down is completely unprofessional and bush league,” Kelly said.

Kelly said CBS is “a dinosaur that doesn’t understand new media or what people want” and argued that Weiss was the wrong person to fix it because she has no background in television.

“Bari Weiss knows nothing about broadcast journalism,” Kelly said. “She’s never worked in television.”

Kelly said Weiss may have built a successful brand at the Free Press, but that did not make her qualified to run a television news operation — especially one as insular as CBS News.

“That’s not the person to fix a television news outlet,” Kelly said.

Kelly also criticized new “60 Minutes” executive producer Nick Bilton, saying he too lacks traditional broadcast journalism experience and was never going to be accepted by the show’s staff.

“There has to be some massaging of the team of talent and producers who are there, or fire them all,” Kelly said. “Do one or the other.”

“What you have over at CBS News right now is amateur hour in the management ranks,” Kelly added. “That is why we are seeing this very public dispute play out before our very eyes.”

Kelly said she supports efforts to make “60 Minutes” more “fair and balanced,” but argued that CBS leaders botched the execution.

“The attempt to make ’60 Minutes’ somewhat more fair and balanced is a good thing,” Kelly said. “It’s a noble thing.”
