MTV said it had raided Condé Nast Entertainment to sign Michael Klein as its executive vice president of original programming, reporting directly to MTV President Sean Atkins.
He had been EVP of programming and content strategy for Condé’s digital channels.
While the raid is a loss to Condé Nast, it suggests that legacy media companies are able to build some sizeable businesses — which, in turn, makes them more prone to raids.
