Coronavirus news bingeing may have hit its peak.
US page views on coronavirus news stories dropped to 645 million last week, down from 1.1 billion the previous week, according to Taboola, which based its findings on 1,000 news publishers.
Overall, since the World Health Organization’s first declaration of pandemic on March 11 until this week, news publishers are still showing an overall increase in unique readers, up 8 percent, including a 14 percent increase in page views and a 25 percent increase in time spent per page, according to the Interactive Advertising Bureau.
