Relativity Media settled a claim Wednesday that it owed its chief communications officer of four years nearly $600,000.
Ex-Relativity spokesman David Shane — for months the most visible PR spokesperson in Hollywood — filed the claim against the studio run by Ryan Kavanaugh in April after being dismissed via e-mail in February.
Terms weren’t disclosed and neither party admitted liability, according to a filing in bankruptcy court.
The bankruptcy filing last July precipitated a hectic half-year for Shane, who fielded nonstop press queries about a series of exits from the imploding studio, including its president, co-chief executive and the presidents of film production and sports.
Shane stayed with the studio even after it reduced his salary twice — once without his consent. He has since started Shane Strategies, an LA media and entertainment communications consulting firm
