Harris Publications, the family-run publishing company that abruptly shut down on April 29, is getting interest from publishers for some of its 70 titles covering, guns, autos, home and sports.

Athlon Media Group, majority owned by billionaire Spencer Hays, is close to buying the home titles, including Romantic Country, Flea Market Style and Beach Cottages, one source said.

Wellness title Naturally, Danny Seo is said to have had inbound inquiries from several publishers, although there is no deal as of yet. Ditto for Who’s Who in Baseball.

But it may be hard to make a deal for the moribund titles. Some 65 employees were handed their walking papers when the company shut down last month. They were given 24 hours to clear out their desks.

When asked for comment, Chief Financial Officer Warren Sherman responded, “Who is this?” before hanging up the phone.
