The May/June issue of Latina magazine will now be scrapped entirely as private equity owner Solera Capital continues to try to right its troubled Latina Media Ventures.
The long-overdue issue was originally slated to hit newsstands May 30. Advertisers were getting the word this week that the issue was officially scrapped.
The March/April issue was also way overdue and only hit in mid-June. The financially struggling company is running about two weeks late in handing out pay to staffers.
Co-president Robyn Moreno has pledged that all staffers and freelancers will be paid in full.
