The Time 100 will now be a two-day event consisting of a one-day conference and the traditional gala bringing together the 100 most influential people in the world for a glitzy night at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

It is all part of the new Time since the former Time Inc. flagship was orphaned after a sale to Meredith that then flipped it to Salesforce founder Marc Benioff and wife Lynne Benioff in late 2018.

Last year, Time CEO Ed Felsenthal said the company hastily put together a pre-gala conference in a matter of months and this year expanded it to two days.

He also has plans to stage other events across the year.

“It’s a chance to bring together a wide variety of people, including government leaders, scientists, activists, musicians, actors and astronauts,” Felsenthal said.

And it is turning into a money-making event, with top-tier tickets for a series of events going for up to $20,000.
