Time magazine is feeling the heat from its “devil horns” cover image of Hillary Clinton.

Some observers wondered if the newsweekly was trying to demonize her because of the way a silhouette of her head bumps up against the “M” in the Time logo.

But the magazine insisted it was not playing a devilish trick on the former Senator and Secretary of State, who is embroiled in a controversy over her use of personal e-mail in office.

“Any resemblance to cats, bats or devil horns is entirely coincidental,” Time said in a statement Friday.

To bolster its case, Time released a photo slide show of 34 other personalities where the head bumping into the “M” appeared to carve out horns.

That distinguished bunch included Russell Crowe, Margaret Thatcher, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Vladamir Putin, Pope Francis and Pope John Paul II.
