Jane Pratt’s Web sites aimed at millennial women have found a new suitor.
Time Inc. is said to be near a deal to acquire the sites, xoJane and xoVain, now owned by Say Media.
A Time Inc. spokesman said the company does not comment on speculation. Adweek first reported the sale talks.
If a deal is finalized, the price tag is expected to be low after negotiations with an undisclosed buyer fell apart earlier this year.
Say Media raised more than $100 million in venture money in a bid to be both a software company and content producer before backpedaling and returning to its roots as a tech developer. Say has sold off most of its content sites since unveiling the plan in November.
Say and Pratt did not return calls.
