Joe Ripp started as CEO of Time Inc. on Tuesday, taking over from lame duck Laura Lang.

But his first big pronouncements aren’t expected until Wednesday when he holds a town hall-type meeting for the top 250 executives and managers in the company.

He made his first lunch appointment a stop at the salad bar at the Time Inc. corporate cafeteria with new Chief Financial Officer Jeff Bairstow in tow.

On Wednesday, Ripp moved to media hot spot Michael’s to dine with former Time magazine editor Walter Isaacson.
