Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has been suspended from Twitter for one week for violating that platform’s rules, a report said Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the social media company told CNN that Jones was suspended after posting a video where he declared “now is the time to act on the enemy before they do a false flag.”
A “false flag operation” is what conspiracy theorists refer to as a staged act of violence to influence public opinion.
Jones has claimed that the Sandy Hook shooting was a “false flag” perpetrated by the government to take people’s guns away.
Jones has been removed from various online platforms in recent weeks, including YouTube and Facebook.
