Viacom’s ex-CEO Tom Freston, who was replaced by Philippe Dauman in 2007, stepped in to the C-Suite fray on Wednesday, saying Dauman has done a bad job running the company.
Freston called the current boss an “arrogant elitist” during a CNBC interview.
Viacom hit back in a statement, pointing out some of Dauman’s successes, including Spike TV unit’s “Lip Sync Battle.”
