The Writers defeated the Artists 9-6 in 69th annual charity softball game in Herrick Park in East Hampton on Saturday.

Former Mets star John Franco was a last minute scratch, forcing Mike Lupica to the mound for the Writers.

Lupica left in the bottom of the third inning, however, with a hamstring injury suffered while legging out an infield single.

Harry Javier replaced Lupica and went on to share MVP honors with the Writers’ Brett Shevack.

In a post-game party, the rumor mill was spinning with word that former Mets outfielder Lenny Dykstra was in the crowd.

Dykstra spent six months in jail for using fraudulent documents to lease luxury autos. He was released in 2013.

The 54-year-old once penned a stock picking column for The Street and later ran a magazine called Players Club, aimed at wealthy pro athletes.
