1. I wrote a column in today’s Post on how tethered the Yankees are to Alex Rodriguez. He is their most talented player and with a contract running through 2017, A-Rod is signed longer than anyone else in the majors. Thus, the Yankee success now and into a long future is tied to Rodriguez being a great player. So the Yankees – even if they wish they could snap their fingers and make Rodriguez disappear – must instead find a way to make Rodriguez comfortable, even if they find him unlikeable or disingenuous or – in his latest incarnation – a cheater.
