1. I want to talk about the most bogus excuse of 2009: “The Yankees can’t hit pitchers with whom they are unfamiliar.” It actually isn’t just from 2009. It has existed for quite a while. And people actually repeat it. Stop. The statistics actually do not back it up well and, besides, it is just a horrible defense for such a lack of offense.
