1. In today’s Post I wrote about the strong bond that is forming among the newly constituted Yankee rotation. For a long time around the Yankees, there has been a sense of professionalism associated with the group, but not fun. I think what happened was the championships from 1996-2000 elevated all of the following: 1) Pressure around the organization to keep winning titles. 2) The amount of media covering the team, which made the players feel more watched than ever. 3) A sense of entitlement as the group took on the pose of over-privileged mega-stars. 4) The number of me-first mercenaries that believed the team revolved around them.
