That would be Kei Igawa, who, if you watched the Bricktown Showdown (the Triple-A championship game between the International League and Pacific Coast League) between the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees and Sacramento River Dogs (A’s affiliate), you saw coaching first base for SWB.

That’s not exactly what the Yankees envisioned they would be paying Igawa to do in early 2007 when they paid $26 for the rights to sign the Japanese right-hander. While he was productive in Triple-A this year, he likely won’t factor into the Yankees’ plans again.
