The Mets tried to bolster their depleted middle-infield ranks today by promoting Argenis Reyes from Triple-A Buffalo. Left-handed reliever Jon Switzer was designated for assignment to make room for Reyes, who appeared in 49 games (hitting just .218) for the Mets last season.
