TORONTO – A-Rod is back, as he hoped.

Alex Rodriguez will be DH and bat third Thursday night as the Yankees play the Blue Jays in Toronto. Jayson Nix is at third base and will bat ninth.

Rodriguez fouled a ball off his left foot Tuesday night and missed Wednesday night’s game with swelling.

A-Rod is in a 1-for-14 slide and has hit one homer since Sept. 9.
