Alex Rodriguez welcomed the hate from Rex Sox fans on Tuesday night after Game 1 of the World Series. Sitting beside fellow Fox Sports analysts, the polarizing former Yankee egged the crowd on outside Fenway Park as they shouted, “A-Rod sucks!”

“You know, there are some things you never thought you’d see in life. Alex waving a Red Sox pennant at Fenway, that’s definitely one of them,” host Kevin Burkhardt quipped.

Rodriguez then responded, “We’ll be in The Bronx next year.”

The Red Sox topped the Yankees in the ALDS before besting last year’s champs, the Astros, in the ALCS. Boston took Game 1 of the series against the Dodgers with Tuesday’s 8-4 victory.
