Alex Rodriguez, the only Yankees starter not to get a hit in Wednesday night’s 12-4 romp of the Rangers, gets the day off on Thursday.

Ramiro Pena starts at third base, and streaking Jorge Posada will get a rare start against a lefty with C.J. Wilson on the mound for the Rangers.

Posada likely will be reduced to a pinch-hitter over the next two series with the Yankees playing at the Cubs and Reds without a DH in the National League parks.

Russell Martin, who sat out seven of the past eight games with a back injury, returns to the lineup.
