Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez played an extended spring training game this morning against Rays minor leaguers.

Rodriguez went 1-for- 4 with two strikeouts and a home run.

Rodriguez hopes to return to the Yankees on Tuesday. He is on the disabled list with a strained right quad.
