Aaron Judge and the Yankees seemed to have avoided the worst after Judge was drilled by a pitch in the left hand and left Tuesday’s 4-2 win over Baltimore.

Judge said X-rays and a CT scan came back negative following the game, adding he might try to talk his way into the lineup Wednesday.

“It’s a big relief,” Judge said. “I’ve been hit there before, a couple years ago and broke my wrist. Any time you get hit 94 up and in, especially in the hand, you never know. There’s some swelling, but I think I’m good.”

It didn’t seem like that would be possible after Baltimore right-hander Albert Suarez hit him with a 94 mph four-seamer.

And the Yankees were not happy with the pitch that got Judge, especially after Gleyber Torres was hit by Keegan Akin with a 93 mph four-seamer in the left hand later in the game.

“You go up and in on our best player, hit him, and come back and do it again on Gleyber, nobody’s gonna be happy about it,” DJ LeMahieu said. “[Suarez] has pretty good command. It’s not intentional, but you can’t mess around right there.”

After getting hit, Judge grimaced in pain and, visibly upset, appeared to take some steps toward Suarez.

“I was definitely pissed,” Judge said. “There were a couple balls up and in, but that’s part of it. They like to throw up and in.”

But Judge made his way to first and was tended to by trainer Tim Lentych, who made sure Judge could squeeze his hand to ensure it wasn’t broken. Judge remained in the game.

After being removed in the fourth, the Yankees announced Judge would undergo imaging at NewYork-Presbyterian and was seen by team physician Chris Ahmad.

Judge went to center in the top of the fourth, but was removed for pinch-hitter Trent Grisham in the bottom of the inning.

Judge said he hoped to not miss any time, “especially against this team.”

He remained in the game to play defense to give Grisham time to get ready to hit in the bottom of the fourth, since he realized he couldn’t swing.

The Yankees learned again last year how much they miss Judge when he’s not available since their season fell apart after he suffered a foot injury slamming into the fence at Dodger Stadium.

This year, he’s been the main cog in an offense that has put them back on top of the AL East.

Judge’s torrid play since a shaky first few weeks has been the key to the Yankees’ terrific start to the season and put him at the front of the AL MVP race.

He entered Tuesday leading the majors in home runs, RBIs, walks, slugging percentage and OPS and topped the AL in doubles.

“[Suarez] missed a heater in, but there were several pitches a little too close to guys hands,’’ Alex Verdugo said. “I wouldn’t expect anything to roll over, but there prob will be a little more edge. Our captain got hit. We don’t take what happened lightly. We’re none too pleased about it.”
