Adam Ottavino could make history the first time he puts on pinstripes.

When the recently added reliever arrives in The Bronx, he could become the first player in Yankees history to wear the number zero, which Ottavino has previously worn while with the Rockies. Zero also represents the only single-digit number still eligible to be worn by a Yankee, with the team having retired all previous options, most recently Derek Jeter’s No. 2 and Joe Torre’s No. 6.

In 2017, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman told The Post’s Andrew Marchand — then of ESPN — he would allow a player to wear the unpopular number.

“I have no issue with No. 0,” Cashman said. “To me, it is just a number.”
