It took him longer than the Mets would have liked, but the Mets top draft pick in 2008 has found his power stroke.

After taking 282 at-bats (including all 225 at-bats last season with the Brooklyn Cyclones), Davis finally hit his first professional home run with High-A St. Lucie in late April. Since then, though, Davis has hit 10 homers in his last 225 at-bats – seven with St. Lucie and three with Double-A Binghamton – heading into today’s game.

For the season, Davis is hitting .280 with 10 homers and 40 RBI between St. Lucie and Binghamton.
