Jeff Francoeur’s agent says she has talked to the Mets about trading the right fielder so he can play every day, NJ.com reports.

Francouer’s playing time decreased when Carlos Beltran returned to the Mets outfield after the All-Star break, and again with Fernando Martinez added this week to replace injured left fielder Jason Bay.

“We want to play every day,” Francoeur’s agent Molly Fletcher said. “We prefer to play in New York. But if we’re not going to play every day in New York, we absolutely welcome the opportunity to play every day somewhere else.”

The report says, “The Mets are aware of Francoeur’s position, a team official indicated.”

The agent plans to monitor Francoeur’s playing time in the next week, according to the report, based on Jerry Manuel saying Francoeur would play more against right-handed pitchers.

Francouer did not play Tuesday night against Colorado righty Ubaldo Jimenez. He pinch ran and scored in the Mets’ 1-0 win.

Francoeur is batting .216 against right-handers and .318 against lefties, according to Stats Inc. His overall average is .241 with an on-base percentage of .294. He has 11 homers and 47 RBIs in 106 games.

He’s hitting .220 at Citi Field.
