Jennifer Lopez sang at Joe Biden’s inauguration, and her fiancé – former MLB All-Star Alex Rodriguez – had himself a grand ol’ time accompanying her.

Rodriguez documented his day on Instagram, which began with a video of his seat on the Capitol and a selfie wearing a suit that matched the uniform of his former team.

“Pinstripes for life,” the former Yankee wrote.

He then posted a picture of himself and J-Lo on the Capitol steps, captioned, “2021,” with hearts and an American flag emoji.

A-Rod was caught on camera several times during the inauguration, and social media had fun pointing out the oddity of seeing him on the stage during such a momentous occasion.

“At least once a year, i turn on a national event and a-rod will somehow just be there for some reason, fulfilling his destiny as baseball’s forrest gump,” wrote ESPN’s Joon Lee.

Chris McNeil, a Cleveland Browns personality, photoshopped A-Rod into the portrait of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.
