Left fielder Moises Alou just got tossed — and deservedly so — by home-plate umpire Dana DeMuth in the top of the fifth inning. Alou had slammed his bat on the plate after being called out on strikes to lead off the inning in a 0-0 game. That might have fired up the Mets, though, because Brian Schneider homered two batters later.
