Don’t panic, Mets fans.

While the NL East lead over the surging Braves is down to just one game, there’s no reason yet for Mets fans to get worried. This team had a rough weekend. They have always found a way to recover from losing two straight games all season. Having the Pirates ahead of you helps, too.

To keep you calm and look ahead to what comes next for the Mets, we bring you a new episode of the “Amazin’ But True” podcast with Nelson Figueroa and me. The Post’s Mets beat writer Mike Puma drops by from Pittsburgh as he explains why he believes the team will hold on and win the division.

Amazin’ But True’ Podcast Opening Segment with Jake Brown & Nelson Figueroa:

  • METS ON THE MEND: Luis Guillorme starts his rehab assignment Tuesday. He is desperately needed back in this lineup with Brett Baty out until at least the playoffs. Eduardo Escobar needs to step up and hit better in this final month. Tylor Megill has struck out all six batters he’s faced in his rehab so far with Double-A Binghamton. He will be a pivotal addition to the Mets bullpen.
  • NELSON FIGUEROA SPANISH ACADEMY: Figgie teaches me how to say “panic city,” “lobster roll” and “Amazin’ But True” in Spanish.

Mike Puma Interview: NY Post Mets beat writer

  • DIVISION: Mets set up better to win the NL East. Thinks they end up winning it on the final Sunday in Atlanta over the Braves.
  • SCHERZER: Have to make sure he is healthy for October. Could mean he is only giving you five innings a start down the stretch, which would wear down bullpen.
  • MEGILL/GUILLORME: They need both of them back. Megill could be a one or two inning guy. Joey Lucchesi is another name to watch coming back as a potential lefty for the bullpen.
  • VIENTOS/GORE: They need Gore as a backup outfielder. Bringing up Mark Vientos would potentially mean getting rid of Darin Ruf.
