Anthony Rendon will have some time to cool off.

The Angels third baseman was suspended for four games by Major League Baseball after video of a physical altercation with a fan in Oakland went viral on Friday.

He was also fined an undisclosed amount.

Rendon initially appealed the ban, but dropped it after it was reduced to four games, per the Los Angeles Times.

His suspension will begin Monday night when Los Angeles faces the Mariners.

The Angels slugger was recorded grabbing a fan by their shirt at Oakland’s O.co Coliseum after losing the season opener, 2-1, to the Athletics, appearing to take a swipe at him — though he did not connect.

“You called me a bitch, huh?” Rendon said to the individual in the 12-second clip that circulated on Twitter. “Yeah, you did. Yeah, you did. Yeah, mother f–ker.”

The fan denied saying anything to Rendon throughout the altercation.

On Monday, Rendon shared that he found the fan and apologized.

“It sucked,” he told reporters. “My emotions got the best of me. I’m usually pretty good about interacting with fans … have fun with it. But the gentleman [and I], we spoke on the phone, and we both apologized about what had happened. And so we’re both ready to move forward.”

On Saturday, the 32-year-old told reporters he could not comment on the situation, as did his manager Phil Nevin and GM Perry Minasian.

“It’s a league investigation,” Minasian said. “Obviously, it’s in MLB’s hands right now. At this point, I can’t talk about it, but at some point, I will.”

“This happens a lot, unfortunately,” Nevin said. “And a lot of times we just don’t see it. You’re gonna hear things all the time and, it’s their money, they come in and watch the game and you hear it a lot.

“Right now, I just don’t want to comment on the incident involving Anthony or anything that goes along with it.”

The incident also caught the attention of Oakland police, which created a case file for it.

Rendon started Saturday’s 13-1 win, but did not play in the series-deciding victory on Sunday.

Rendon signed a seven-year, $245 million deal with the Angels before the 2020 season, though has struggled with injuries.
