Randal Grichuk and New Jersey native Mike Trout were taken with the No. 24 and 25 picks in this year’s First-Year Player Draft by the Los Angeles Angels – picks that the Mets and Yankees gave the Angels when they signed Francisco Rodriguez and Mark Teixiera, respectively, last offseason.

Grichuk was rated No. 58 by Baseball America, while Trout was rated No. 22.
