A strained left calf keeps Alex Rodriguez out of the Yankees lineup again when they continue a four-game series against the Tigers at the Stadium.

Austin Kearns starts in right field, with Nick Swisher the DH.

Rodriguez suffered the injury in Monday’s loss to the Tigers when he left the game after a fourth-inning at-bat complaining of tightness in the calf.
