Anthony Rizzo was back at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, without the headaches that had bothered him for the past several days.

The Yankees’ starting first baseman hasn’t played since Aug. 30, initially because of lower-back issues. He also recently experienced headaches, possibly as a result of an epidural shot he received while the Yankees were on the West Coast earlier this month.

“He had a blood patch [Friday], which I think so far it’s been deemed really successful. He sounds great, which is good,” manager Aaron Boone said Saturday before the Yankees’ 10-3 win over the Rays. “Immediately, they had him moving around and walking and I think it freed him up right away.

“The headaches are gone so far. So he’s gonna be in [Saturday], hanging out all day, not doing much. And then if he still in this position [Sunday], we’ll start ramping him up. But he’s really excited about how good he feels.”

Asked if Rizzo could play at some point on the Yankees’ upcoming road trip to Boston and Milwaukee, Boone said: “We’ll see. He’s been basically laying down for a while. So the back end of the trip may be possible. But it’ll kind of depend on how the ramp-up goes. Hopefully, we’ve gotten through what we need to now, and we can start building that process and then we’ll just pay attention to how he’s doing and how long it takes him to get rolling.”

Boone said versatile rookie Oswaldo Cabrera has impressed infield coach Travis Chapman enough in recent workouts to be an option at first base.

Domingo German will start the series finale Sunday on three days’ rest, but will pitch “probably a couple of innings” in what Boone expects to be a bullpen game.

Luis Severino (lat strain) will make one more minor league rehab start, Boone said. That will come Thursday night before Severino’s targeted return to the rotation Sept. 21 against Pittsburgh.

Aroldis Chapman (infection) will pitch in a rehab game Sunday for Double-A Somerset in Hartford, Conn. Zach Britton (elbow) and Miguel Castro (shoulder) also are scheduled to pitch in that game. … Scott Effross (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Saturday and will do so again Tuesday in Boston.

With Josh Donaldson back from paternity leave following the birth of his daughter, Lily, first baseman Ronald Guzman was designated for assignment. Donaldson went 2-for-4 with a homer. … Jose Trevino remained on the paternity list after the birth of his son, Jio.
