It’s the lumber of legend.

The baseball bat Babe Ruth may have used to swat his mythical “called shot” home run in the 1932 World Series is up for sale.

The bat, which measures 34.75 inches and weighs 37.2 ounces, could fetch up to $500,000.

“This is like Thor’s hammer,” said Lelands.com chairman Josh Evans.

Ruth’s legendary blast came on Oct. 1, 1932, at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs. It was Game 3 of what would be a four-game Yankee sweep.

With the score tied 4-4 in the fifth inning, the Bambino, as legend has it, held up his hand, pointing at either the pitcher, the Cubs dugout or center field, and slammed a curveball an estimated 440 feet.

“Whether or not Ruth intended to call his shot, he did consider it the best ball he ever struck,” touts the lot description.

The Web auction closes March 23.
