Their new band of choice is as unpredictable as the team’s run to the top of the NL East.

The Backstreet Boys – yes, the 1990s boy band – have become popular in the team’s clubhouse.

When Juan Uribe was called out Wednesday on Twitter for singing along to “I Want It That Way” in the pre-game clubhouse, the band responded with a lyric customized for Uribe.

“One of the things we tried to do here was make it fun to be here,” Mets manager Terry Collins said. “Therefore, we’ve tried to create an atmosphere in the clubhouse that’s fun.”
