Why would the World Series champion Yankees go to the White House to see President Obama (“Prez Cheers the O-Bombers,” April 27)?

His arrogance might rub off on them and put them in last place this season.

The best thing about the Yankees’ visit to the White House is the respect the president demonstrated to the team.

Even though it was a more formal setting, I find it just dandy that Obama didn’t have on his traditional White Sox fan gear.
