Jason Bay will be out of the Mets lineup Tuesday night against the Giants after being placed on the Paternity Leave List to be with his wife for the birth of their third child.
Lucas Duda was called up from Triple-A Buffalo to take his spot.
Duda was hitting .257 with four doubles and three homers and nine RBIs in 21 games for the Bisons.
