Carlos Beltran threw himself a Mets going-away party on Tuesday night, which turned out to be fitting.
The outfielder, who will be sent to the Giants when the trade with the Mets becomes official on Thursday, invited teammates and staffers out to a Cincinnati restaurant after the team’s 8-6 win over the Reds.
The Mets remain on the fringe of the wild-card race — 7 ½ games behind the Braves — but dealing Beltran had been considered a foregone conclusion.
WFAN first reported the details of the party.
