PORT ST. LUCIE — The Mets just announced that Carlos Beltran has been scratched from today’s game here against the Braves due to neck stiffness. Beltran was scheduled to return to the lineup this afternoon for the first time since rejoining the team from the World Baseball Classic. Don’t look for Beltran to play again until at least Wednesday, which is when Carlos Delgado‘s post-WBC rest period also is set to end.
