Carlos Beltran is out of the Mets lineup Monday night again as he recovers from flu-like symptoms over the weekend.

Beltran’s absence gives manager Terry Collins little choice but to play the struggling Jason Bay again after saying on Sunday he would talk to the left fielder about taking a day off.

Bay is hitting sixth, behind bats like Daniel Murphy, Scott Hairston and Lucas Duda in the middle of the lineup, with Chris Capuano on the mound.
