In a battle of top pitching prospects, Dellin Betances outdueled Kyle Drabek to give the Double-A Trenton Thunder a 2-0 win over New Hampshire in the first game of their best-of-five first round Eastern League playoff series.

Betances, the Yankees’ top pitching prospect, went 5.1 innings, giving up two hits, striking out eight and walking one, while Drabek, Toronto’s top overall prospect, allowed one run on three hits, struck out five and walked two in six innings.

Trenton will have some additional firepower on the mound tomorrow night when Andy Pettitte takes the hill for a rehab appearance in Game 2. He’ll be opposed by Toronto’s second-best prospect, left-hander Zach Stewart.
