Austin Riley isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
Monday evening, Riley and the Atlanta Braves agreed to a 10-year, $212 million contract extension, the franchise announced in a press release. The deal runs through the 2032 season and includes a $20 million club option for 2033.
The 25-year-old Riley has emerged as one of baseball’s premier hitters, slashing .302/.364/.560 since the start of the 2021 season. He ranks 10th in all of baseball with a 4.6 fWAR, tallying 29 home runs, 31 doubles and a league-leading .604 slugging percentage through 101 games so far this season.

Originally a supplemental first-round pick by the Braves in 2015, Riley will earn $15 million next season, $21 million in 2024 and $22 million each year in the remainder of the deal.
